Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star . . . . . ??!!

Hello Again My Lovelies. Unhappily, today may be the last time I will be here with you for maybe a month or so. Circumstances beyond our control, compel Colin, Gilbert, George and I to leave our beloved home and friends in Spain to journey back to the country of my birth, London, England albeit for what we hope will be a relatively short time. I will, however, endeavour to be reconnected to you as soon as British Telecom will allow and may from time to time rely upon others to indulge me with their connections in order to reach you but please, My Lovelies, stay with me until we can be back in Spain, a time which I pray will be mercifully brief.


Below, My Lovelies are two very short, but wonderful videos. The first is startlingly funny and hugely informative and lasts for a mere 1minute 58 seconds but trust me, every second, a veritable gem!!!! The second video, very charming and only a mere 1 minute 51 seconds, again, on the theme of stars and with the Christmas Season almost upon us, is beautifully topical! Happy Birthday Trojan . . . . .

Hi There My Lovelies! Hope you had a great weekend and that your week is progressing nicely.

 

My Special Child

Well today is the birthday of my much beloved son, 

Trojan and so I am hoping that you will join with me in celebrating the day he was born to me and indeed to this world some 30 odd (;-D) years ago today.

Then              

Wow . . . it somehow doesn't seem possible! In my minds eye I see him the moment he was placed into my arms seconds after he was born before being rushed away into intensive care because he had difficulties in breathing. He was quite a small baby, 6lbs 4oz but he has more than made
up for it since.
                          Now
   He is indeed the reason I blog. I remember saying to him, 'Who'd be interested in reading anything that I'd have to say?' He always responded that I was more interesting and talented than I gave myself credit for. He has been that way in all that I've wanted to do with my life and he is really the reason I can live in Spain because he readily does all the things for me in England that distance prevents me from doing myself. I often ponder though that it seems so wrong to be separated from the person most closest to me in this world but he said that I should go and follow my dream, have my adventure and that he would be right there by my side and he has been and remains my strongest ally.

A Beautiful Start To A Beautiful Day . . . .

Hello My Lovelies. Colin and I were out for our usual morning walk with Gilbert and George and, with my tiny digital camara I managed to snap this shot of the morning coming alive. I later asked Colin what had been going through his mind at that particular moment whilst he had gazed, seemingly longingly at the emerging daybreak and you'll never guess what he said. Quite simply he had wondered, just for the briefest of moments as to whether he still gave me the Ebejeebies!!!!! Daft, I know but I So So Love That Man!!

Life, Unchartered - She Poet - Relaunched!!!!!!

Hello again My Lovelies! I know a lot of you have wondered where the beautiful She Poet had disappeared to. Wonder no more. She is back with us but with a new name for her brilliant, brilliant blog, Life, Unchartered.   I will say no more but please take a look at this reposting and spare a moment to visit her at her new blog. Today, I want to give a very special award to someone who has in a very short space of time become a very special on-line friend. Always when I'm needing a word of comfort or support, She Poet appears, in my comment box like a fairy godmother waving her magic wand. She is an artist with a pen, scripting poetry and prose to the amazement of both myself and Colin. The ending of her last short story funeral obsidere, Sharla Anderson was so dark it had me in goose pimples; go see for yourself. She is a single mother who has given up a great part of her dreams in order to give to her children knowing that her time will come. I've only known her for a short period of time but I find her both outstanding as a friend and as the artist she surely is. Because of all of the above, I want to present her with the Blog of Distinction Award. There are no rules attached, just enjoy!

Hey There My Lovelies, I'm here again and sharing with you an haunting image of the Lady of Perpetual Weeping taken in Northern Portugal. It's a fantastic image but imagine, to spend your life eternally weeping . . . Madre Mia!!!!!!  The words I chose to illuminate the photograph are from E. E. Cummings and I thought it perfect to illustrate the two photos below, taken at sunrise on one of our very early morning walks recently, here in Spain, a place where at last, I know I have a soft place to fall and where I very much feel I can at all times be my most authentic self.

These images were caught on my tiny 

tiny pocket-sized digital camara and I have posted the images unaltered so that you can truly see the amazing colours as we saw them as the morning fired up. It really did seem as if the sky was on fire!!! These morning walks are my daily saviour. They fill my heart with such delight to see, each and every morning what the world offers to us all in some shape or form if we but take the opportunity to see. I call it ambrosia for my soul!!!

My Darling Sweetheart

Another poem pulled out of my red tartan box where I keep all my treasures, alas, this one, undated.  I do remember though that I had returned home from work one evening, tired, burnt out, fit for nothing and lying on the dining room table was this poem left for me to find, by Colin. I can't even remember the year but I do remember how it made me feel . . . . how we all want and need to feel . . . quite simply . . . loved!!

My Darling Sweetheart

I watched you leave for work today

in the pleasant glow of the morning sun.

I felt happy to see you smiling brightly

holding no competition.

You are the one to make my heart feel light,

lifting my condition.

Drawing me nearer and nearer to my heart.

As if by chance,

I work

contented,

counting endless hours

to our next love sight.

Seeing you is a Splendour Supreme,

a wonderful wish come true.

I hope to keep this thought sacred

and think of you each day.

So when I go, but come again

I'll see my sunshine gaze.
